He held onto her hips and pumped with her as she rode his dick with complete abandon. Zenobia felt her vision fading, and she new it was hitting her. Without any kind of warning, she screamed and clenched around Wes’s cock as her orgasm washed over her whole body. It took no time for her to push Wes over the edge. He grabbed her ass as he cried and came deep inside of her, his own cum dripping out of her pussy, down his cock, and onto his balls.

She collapsed on top of Wes, her breath hot and damp against Wes’s skin. It took Zenobia a few minutes to get back to Earth, her mind still swimming, body trembling with the aftershocks; when she did regain some feeling in her limbs, she rolled off of Wes and to the side of the couch. They pulled each other close with a soft sigh. She purred like a kitten, eyes closed as she curled up in his side.

“So,” Wes said at length, his voice hoarse for crying out so long and loud.

“Yeah,” Zenobia whispered, grinning like a fool, her fingers tracing the pointy curve of Wes’s ears.

“I think you should move in,” he said, and fuck if that didn’t sober Zenobia faster than a club to the head.

“What?” she blurted out, knowing she was sounding like a complete idiot.

Wes just smiled at Zenobia and tucked a lock of hair off her face.

“I know Tasha would appreciate the space. And plus, it would make more sense... especially since we’re gonna be working together.”

Zenobia blinked and pushed herself up on one elbow. “Whoa. Wait. I—I can’t, that’s just—that’s too soon, Wes, I just can’t… I mean…” she trailed off, looking flustered.

Wes lifted his head to glance up at her. “Why not?”

“I just…” she sighed and dragged one hand over her face. “I already did the whole ‘working for your significant other’ thing, and that left me with my ass on the ground, so yeah. I don’t really—I mean, I know you’re not Sebastian, but—”

Wes pushed himself to a sitting position, pulling Zenobia closer to him in a half hug. “I understand that,” he whispered softly in her ear. “And I’m not saying tomorrow. But, for the love of God, Zenobia, we’ve waited forever. I just… I don’t want to lose any more time.”

“I get it, but…” she hesitated, worrying her lip with her teeth. “I don’t even know what I would do at the club. It’s called Casa Blanca’s, not… uh, I dunno, Casa Zenobia’s.”

  “So? The name can change.”

“After five years and being this successful? Please! No, I wouldn’t want you to do it anyway.” Zenobia looked away. “I’m sorry. I know I’m being stupid and… I’m really shitty at pillow talk.”

  She sighed, frustration rising high.

“I want to be with you,” she admitted, a soft blush coloring her cheeks. “But I don’t know if that’s gonna be good for you or the club.”

Wes stopped her blabbing with a gentle press of fingers on her lips.

“I get it, Zenobia. I get all of it. And you don’t have to make your decision now. But I really wish you’d think about it. I’m not Sebastian. I wouldn’t cheat on you, or steal your ideas. We’d work as a team, for the good of the club, and we’d be partners.”

Wes paused, and stared long and deep in Zenobia’s eyes.

“It’s what I always wanted, ever since I first met you. But as soon as I was about to ask you to join me, you disappeared.”

“I’m sorry,” Zenobia mumbled. “I just… I’m not like you. I’m socially awkward. I wouldn’t know what to do with the place.”

“Well, what about a contest for the socially awkward?” Wes grinned, pulling her in for a short, deep kiss. “Something they can let themselves loose in.”

  “A masquerade party?”

Wes grinned so brightly it lit up the whole room.

“That’s amazing. A masquerade. See?” He pulled Zenobia on top of him, covering her again, and kissing her fiercely. “You’re already in.”

Zenobia kissed him back, feeling the knot of tension ease slightly. “What about a blind date night?” she whispered, her mouth trailing down to the side of Wes’s jaw. “For all those who’re not confident enough to go after what they want?”

Wes’s eyes were shining as he pulled Zenobia down on him, legs kicking and shuffling until they were perfectly aligned. “I’d say there are a million reasons why I won’t ever let you go,” he mumbled, his fingers tangling in Zenobia’s hair. “But the first one—”

  “—because I’m a nerd?”

“Idiot,” Wes whispered, voice full of affection. “No. It’s because I like you.” His bright blue eyes flashed. “I really like you.”

Zenobia swallowed and stopped mid kiss, looking into Wes’s intense, honest eyes. “I—I like you, too,” she muttered, growing three shades of red again as Wes laughed and nudged her forehead with his own.

“Blind dates and a masquerade,” Wes murmured. “We are branching out.”

“We are,” Zenobia said with a grin.

As the kisses grew into something more, hands swiftly prying off clothes and mapping over miles of muscles and skin, Zenobia thought that if there was anything worth waiting for, it was something as beautiful as this. The only downside of all this was that no one was ever going to shut Tasha up now that she had been proven right. But as Wes sighed underneath her, whispers of love in her ear, a storm of butterflies kicked off in Zenobia’s stomach.

Now that she was finally happy, it was definitely worth it.
